I was leading worship for a session that Henry Blackaby was teaching. You know Henry? The guy who rocked the world with Experiencing God? Yea, that guy. I was leading worship after he taught. Talk about intimidation. I felt like a middle school punk with a garage band leading worship after Billy Graham just preached. I shouldn’t have been all jammed up, God was the real audience. That’s what I kept telling myself.
Henry rocked my world with this one line. It was something like: We should be praying that the Father would lay his heart over ours.
That Henry is goooood. Real goooood. I hung onto that line and wrote this song around that beautiful thought.
